365 Make Something Every Day

I've known for a while that I wanted to accept Noah Scalin's "365: Make Something Everyday" challenge, but I hadn't been able to pinpoint exactly WHAT I wanted to make for 365 days in a row. I know that, for me, it needed to take between 15 - 30 minutes, it needed to be something I looked forward to, and I wanted it either to make people laugh, or make people think. After making a JibJab card for my friend's b'day on 1/1/11, I decided laughter was my angle, and JibJab was right up my alley.
My goal: Every day, I will combine my "fun/creative time" that I set aside for myself with my Facebook time and attempt to make a JibJab for 365 people from my pool of Facebook friends. I wonder who will be next!

Thanks to Noah S for the challenge, and to Phil P for the inspiration with his Mustache Blog!

JibJab #11

Julie and her precious Pajama Boy are the stars of today's JibJab!  (I'd love to see you guys again soon!)

Their first debut and mother as son, this JibJab captures the raw talent of then-budding child star C.
..and let's not forget that this is the film that started the 15-year, often-gossiped-about romance of Julia and Brad... Sit back and walk down memory lane with Julie and Son....

Go, Julie, GO!

....Stay Tuned for Mork and Mindy after the Feature Film... at JibJab!

JibJab #10 (in the double digits! only 355 to go....!)

Just like JibJib #9, I found JibJab #10 floating on the internet as well. It's a walk down memory lane and it goes out to Allison Apperson and Herschel Stratego. The ending of this clip should bring back a memory or two for everyone... Who doesn't remember exactly where they were that fateful day when Herchel Stratego's wig caught on fire while filming the big explosion scene at the end of the award winning BlockBuster "Night of the Living Dead-ish"?  Thank goodness he recovered from that one.

Also, what a treat to see young Allison Apperson in her film debut here.  Though she received a little flack for her weak ending in the film, she proved herself to the world in the 12 years since, by being only one of ten people to ever recieve the EGOT medallion (Emmie, Gammy, Oscar, Tony).

Go, Winners, GO!

These zombies were professionally handled on an open course. Do not try this at home.

JibJab #9 (racey...!)

Tonight's JibJab features Kate Sheriff.  Watch out ladies, the Sheriff's in town.

Kate knows how to put the other dancers to shame and keep the paying customers coming back for more. When Kate's on the pole, you better watch your man.....!

Go Kate GO!

Work it Kate!

JibJab #8

JibJab #8 goes out to Ben Seaman and his wife Lynn.  I've known Ben since High School and he was the first person to ever buy a piece of my art....making me legit!  Thanks Ben for the nice things you've done for me and Levi.  You're top notch!

When Ben and his lovely bride Lynn aren't yelling at hockey refs or traveling the world, they enjoy spending most of their spare time at the Discotheque.  Disco dancing is special to the both of them as dancing is what brought them together.  They met in 1979 at the Mudville Discoteque Dance Off where Ben and Lynn were the last two still dancing at the wee hours of the morning as all the other dancers had given up.  In this clip we see that they are still the best at what they Do best! ..and because of that, JibJab #8 is dedicated to you!

JibJab #7

JibJab#7 goes out to my sister and her kids in Colorado. Jenny was quite simply one of the greatest big sisters a girl could have. I love you guys and wished we lived closer to each other. Enjoy!
Though the Wilde Ones are known individually all over Hollywood for their endless Award-Winning performances, this skit is their first time to act collaboratively as a family in a film.  Prepare to be in awe as they push their performances to the limit in this remake of an old classic.  You'll laugh. You'll cry. You'll never get that 2 minutes and 16 seconds back.....!

The number 6 JibJab goes out to the magical Digby's.  Paul and Lynn. Time and again, I have been stunned by the detail of Lynn's painting and her sage wisdom... and Paul has more positive energy than 10 mortal men combined!  Thank you for your friendship over the years, Paul and Lynn, you guys are an inspiration!

Add ice skating to the long list of things the Digby's have mastered.  As you will see in this clip, all of Paul and Lynn's practice has paid off. Since the day this clip first aired, they have come to be regarded as the masters of synchronicity and been bombarded with offers of sponsorship, and facebook friend request...only the latter of which they have thus accepted.  Sit back and enjoy the Master's of the Ice.

JibJab #5

This JibJab is for the Berry's.  Maria is a superwoman and one of my best friends.  I love that chick! She is my sister by choice.

In this clip we see the Berry's in action. Though not of pure Irish descent, their mastering of the Irish Step Dance does leave everyone green with envy. Michael would not generally wear a skirt, but Meredith insisted that he do so for this very special dance.. so that they would match.  And, doesn't he look lovely?

...This dance is dedicated to Maria's Uncle Mike, who lost the battle with cancer this week. (...xo)
